South Lakeland Hydrotherapy Limited - registered charity
The charity organise fundraising activities to support the continued provision of hydrotherapy at Sandgate Hydrotherapy Pool and to replace and improve pool equipment and the pool building.
The charity raises funds from Pool users, other private individuals and local businesses and by organising a number of fundraising events during the year. We also apply for grant funding towards the Pool running costs and for one-off capital projects.
In recent years, this fundraising has contributed £20,000 each year towards the running costs of the Pool. In 2020 and 2021, it also funded a major capital project of £230,000 to replace the Pool roof and install solar panels. Other recent projects include replacing the pool cover, improving the pool steps and improvements to the changing rooms.

Supporting the Pool
Donations to support the Pool are welcome and can be made in a number of ways:
Pool Your Change
Pool users often make small donations when they attend the pool. Please ask the Pool staff for more information.
One-off Donations
You can make a donation in person by cash or cheque at the Pool. Please ask the Pool staff for a donation form and, if you can, please complete the Gift Aid section, so that we get money from HMRC as well. Download the One-off donation form (PDF 150KB)

Friends
Many Pool users make a regular annual donation of £10 or more. Please ask the Pool staff for a Friends form and, if you can, please complete the Gift Aid section, so that we get money from HMRC as well. If it is easier, you can pay by Standing Order. Please ask the Pool staff for a Standing Order form. The forms can also be downloaded:
Monthly Draw
The charity is licensed to operate a monthly prize draw. It costs just £12 a year to take part and we pay out three prizes each month, worth at least 50% of the proceeds. Support the Pool by getting involved with the charity
The charity is managed by a group of Trustees who all work on a voluntary basis. The Trustees are in turn supported by a group of Friends of Sandgate Pool, who organise the fundraising activities, again on a voluntary basis. If you would like to volunteer, either as a Trustee or to help with the fundraising, please talk to the Pool staff.
